“No Partner, No excuses, just Purpose.”
On August 4th, a small but dedicated team from UPD embarked on a quiet mission, driven solely by compassion and the desire to make a difference. Without sponsors, we ventured into four villages surrounding the Dzaleka Refugee Camp, focusing our efforts on a group often overlooked people living with disabilities.
Our purpose was simple yet profound: to provide support and nourishment to those who face daily challenges that many of us can scarcely imagine. Throughout our visits to the four villages, we had the privilege of meeting a total of 20 remarkable individuals. As we offered food and shared moments of kindness, one thing became clear: our hearts were united in this mission, carried by respect, compassion, and solidarity.
In these encounters, we found not just recipients but partners in humanity, individuals who reminded us that charity is not merely about giving; it’s about forging connections and recognizing our shared struggles. Together, we can create ripples of hope and change within our communities, proving that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.
