This week, UPD proudly hosted a transformative workshop as part of the Inclusive Access to Health Services for Refugees with Disabilities in Malawi project. Under the powerful theme “Capacity Building in Project Evaluation and Monitoring,” this session was pivotal in empowering UPD directors and to effectively assess and track the impact of their community driven initiatives

By providing practical tools and fostering strategic dialogue, participants deepened their skills in evaluating outcomes, documenting progress, and ensuring that every action taken upholds dignity, accessibility, and real change for persons with disabilities, particularly within refugee communities. This workshop transcended mere technique; it was about affirming the agency of those often marginalized and strengthening our collective resolve to build systems that truly serve all individuals.

As we reflect on this impactful gathering, it’s clear that inclusive access to health services is not just a goal but a necessity. Together, we move forward with renewed purpose and commitment to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Let us continue advocating for policies that prioritize inclusion and ensure that no one is left behind in our quest for equitable health services.
