UMOJA PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES (UPD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering mobility-challenged individuals to lead better lives through social integration, skill development, and meaningful representation. Founded by individuals who have personally experienced the challenges of disability, UPD aims to replicate the successes of those who have thrived in their professional and social lives, creating a supportive community for all.
Operating primarily in the Dzaleka refugee camp and surrounding villages in the Dowa District, UPD is a membership-based organization with plans to establish chapters throughout Malawi
